Diocesan’s educational philosophy is centred on excellence in all aspects of schooling. Our academic vision is to foster a lifelong love of learning, equipping our girls for a meaningful future. We aspire to have young women who leave our school as participatory citizens in our ever-changing contemporary society. Our girls will be confident creative and fluent users of IT; critical thinkers, who have the resilience that comes from being involved with, and responsible for, their own learning.
The School offers a dual pathway for senior students – the International Baccalaureate Diploma and the National Certificate of Educational Achievement, allowing girls, in close consultation with staff, to decide which pathway is best for them. Our extensive learning support and acclaimed GATE initiatives are provided by the Centre for Enhanced Learning.
We recognise that students engaged in a wide variety of activities flourish academically. We provide flexible learning and teaching practices that proactively address student diversity. Staff are the facilitators of learning, providing girls with the tools to not only achieve at the highest level academically, but also to be moral and ethical decision makers.
