Secondary (Years 7 to 13)
Diocesan offers a programme that aims to develop student’s interest, passions and will support their journey of life long learning. We offer quality education, with high expectations and the strategies to support all learners to meet their academic goals, within challenging programmes of work. Our learning environment promotes students being responsible for their own work, being self-motivated and appreciating the interdependent nature of subjects. Our highly qualified and determined staff has the students placed in the centre of all their decision making. Diocesan is a digital school with leading technology and teaching programmes that support individual students and their learning styles. Our academic platform is based on data, research based practice and understanding the best evidence of quality teaching and learning available.
All students entering the workforce in the 21st century require certain skills that will be needed as a passport entrée into the world they are going to be living in. We are working towards ensuring that our girls have the best opportunity in whatever they aspire to. Information literacy, creativity and innovation, ability to work collaboratively, international perspectives, critical thinking and evaluation of sources, problem solving and fluency in all digital technology will be required. We have a teaching philosophy that embraces the future, retains the best of the old, supports moral and ethical decision making within the Anglican ethos of our foundation.
