Multi-purpose Sports Turf Project

STAGE TWO

Stage 2 of the project is a unique resolution of two of Diocesan School’s longer-term strategic planning objectives, being, the provision of more open space for sporting and recreational use and reducing traffic congestion within the school’s campus.

The new all-weather, multi-purpose turf will give our girls year-round facilities to train on site, and to host inter-school matches and competitions 'at home'.

Additionally, the all-weather turf will provide a much needed open space within the School’s campus, for general recreational use.

Sports features include:

competition standard hockey turf which will also be suitable for other activities such as Touch and Physical Education

Two netball courts and three tennis courts with superior rebound surface

Enclosed viewing gallery attached to the existing Dawn Jones Sports Centre that overlooks the playing turf

Other facilities will include:

Covered bus shelter

Provision for car parking which will free up open space currently allocated to cars in the student precincts. It will also help to create a safer campus by greatly reducing the number of vehicles moving around the School buildings

A new Uniform Shop

Facilities and storage for the School Property Team
