Heritage Foundation
The foresight, hard work and generosity of the Diocesan family, past and present enables our students to enjoy an enhanced educational environment. The Diocesan School Heritage Foundation (which is a charitable trust) was established to build and maintain a strong capital base to ensure the School’s long term independence and so to support and promote the development of personal best in every student. The School provides a very wide range of opportunities for students that go far beyond the standard school curriculum. Many special interest groups undertake fundraising for their own special projects and The Heritage Foundation provides an overarching framework to coordinate and assist these initiatives.
As Independent School rolls increase, the static Government funding effectively continues to decline on a per student basis. Tuition fees cover the operating budget of the School but many of the opportunities offered at Diocesan rely on the vision and generous support of past generations. To be able to continue to offer these opportunities requires a similar commitment from our present generation.

Annual Giving
It is the generosity of current and past Old Girls, staff and friends alike that has benefited the school in so many ways, enabling the School’s traditions to be preserved and enhanced, and creating opportunities for generations of future students. Each year two or more Annual Giving projects are selected for the School Community to financially support the School.
This year our chosen projects for 2011 include
– Renovation of the School Hall, the centrepiece and a foundation building of School life.
– Contributions towards the Elizabeth Roberton Bursary, an endowment fund set aside specifically to allow a bursary for girls access to Boarding at Diocesan.
Each one gives us the opportunity to reminisce on the good things we enjoyed at ‘Dio’ and how we would like to ensure that future generations can also enjoy wonderful experiences that they will remember and prove formative after they have finished their school education.
Any help that you would like to contribute in an area that most interests you, would be really appreciated. We value every gift, whatever the size.
