Student Scholarships – Sharing the unique Dio experience
Student Scholarships are a way of giving others the opportunity to experience the rich culture, education and heritage at Diocesan which many of us have been fortunate enough to experience ourselves.
To secure and extend the Diocesan experience for future generations, we must invest in the key elements of that experience, including commitments of financial and to current and future students.
We aim to increase the capital base for Student Scholarships to enable more students to attend Diocesan School for Girls and financially support students regardless of their circumstances.
What was done for us, we will do for others, making a donation will enable more girls to gain the benefits of a Diocesan education and, with that education, contribute to making this a better world.

Chapel Stained Glass Windows - Conserving the Past for Future Generations
Our chapel and pastoral activities lie at the heart of our School and the affection of our community.
As both a place of worship and a visual reminder of this special character, the chapel encourages the development of personal identity, relationship with God, involvement with the community and reflection on the quest for meaning in our lives.
Our school Chapel is over a century old hence its conservation is our second Annual Giving project. As part of our conservation programme, the Chapel’s stained glass windows will be inspected, cleaned and repaired, with external glass fitted to protect them.
The oldest windows – the rose and latticed windows in the old St Barnabas part of the Chapel – date back to the 1860s and are typical of those in Auckland’s few surviving early Selwyn buildings.
The soft toned leadlight windows, which provide a pleasant quality of light in the main area of the Chapel were installed in 1966 to replace the glass that had been there since the Chapel was built in the 1920s.
The Chapel porch window depicting the Tree of Life was given by the Old Girls League to commemorate Miss Edwards, Principal 1933 to 1950.
