Diocesan School for Girls employs a number of non-teaching staff members who work during school terms only (approximately 40 weeks per year). Generally these are part-time roles with working hours which correspond with the school day, from about 8:30am to approximately 3:30pm. Many of these roles are administrative, providing office-based support to departments; a small number are learning assistant roles, working more closely with students.
Because of the flexibility they offer, these roles often appeal to people with school-age children who wish to have time in the afternoons and school holidays to spend with their children.
In addition, the school has casual work opportunities available from time to time and to this end maintains contact with a number of “on-call” staff who are available for temporary work.
