Philosophy
At Diocesan we strongly believe in the education of the whole person and pastoral care is the component of education which builds emotional intelligence to support academic learning.
Girls at Diocesan come from a diverse mix of backgrounds, ethnicities and denominations, and we understand each student’s uniqueness. We believe a strong and caring community is necessary to make every student feel welcome, safe and supported.
The Pastoral Care network supports specific initiatives to build a positive School culture, and ensure that there are many opportunities available for our students to contribute to, and participate in, School life.
Pastoral Care is a shared responsibility and in partnership with the parents of our students we will ensure each student at Diocesan has optimal opportunity to become an independent, caring, reliable and responsible member of the community.
