Special Programmes
The Diocesan Buddy and Peer Support programmes are based on the principle that at every level and in every age group in society, people absorb information and values from each other. These programmes both help Diocesan to develop strong links between older and younger students, and give senior students responsibility in caring for and leading others.

Peer Support Programme
Year 13 students are trained to help students in Year 9 to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to adapt to life at Diocesan, and to encourage integration of old and new students.
Buddy Programme
The Buddy Programme is designed to develop skills in Year 12 students which enable them to mentor and support students in Year 7
The Buddy Programme and Peer Support are of great benefit to new students in particular at Diocesan as it helps settle them into a new school, provides the opportunity to make new friends, both their own age and more senior, and gives them the opportunity to talk about any concerns they might have.
Student Buddies
All new girls are also paired up with a ‘Buddy’ who is in their Tutor Group to help in the initial integration process
Junior School Committee
The Junior School Prefect oversees a group of Year 12 and Year 13 students who are attached to each class in the Junior School. This provides Junior school students with the opportunity to connect with older students.
Junior School Buddies System
Every girl from Year 4-6 has a buddy. The year 4 students with year 1; year 5 students with year 2 and year 6 students with year 3. This means that all students from Year 4-6 experience a leadership role.
