In Year 7 the focus is on identifying leaders within our community, their strengths and qualities. The Leadership programme in Year 7 teaches students interview skills, time management and self-organisation.
Preparing our girls to have a positive influence on the world is central to everything we do at Dio. The Leadership programme at Junior High sees each year level learning and applying new principles of leadership.
In Year 8 the focus moves to personal development and challenge. Students learn the value of persistence, passion, risk taking and the skills to help and support others.
Managing self and relationships is the theme of the Year 9 Leadership programme. It is in this year level that students begin to unravel the concept of social acceptance, navigate positive relationships and learn valuable problem-solving skills that will help them make a difference to others around them.
In Year 10, the final year of Junior High School, the concept of teamwork and followership are explored. Before heading into their senior years at Dio, girls develop the skills to be a great team member and learn how to move from being a bystander to an upstander.
