Last Thursday Diocesan choristers excelled themselves at the Big Sing regionals. It was a very exciting and nail-biting affair with all the big guns going for Gold but Director of Choirs, Shona McIntyre-Bull led the way again with some outstanding performances from our girls.

At the end of the night our exceptional choirs took home the two most coveted awards for female choirs:

• Best Junior Choir – Bella Cantoris directed by Shona McIntyre-Bull
• Best Female Choir (Best Recital Programme by a Female Voice Choir) – St Cecilia Singers directed by Shona McIntyre-Bull, associate director Rachel Sutherland.
• Divinitus (joint Dio/Dilworth student-led choir) Pasifica Award for the best performance of a work using Pasifica text
• Divinitus – Conductor’s Professional Development Award for Takarei Komene (joint leader of Divinitus)

A fabulous set of results for everyone involved.
