It was a bit of everything weather-wise for the first weekend of the school holidays at the Cycling New Zealand Road Champs in Palmerston North.
Amid the brilliant sunshine and gale force winds, our cyclists put on a show to remember with the Premier team finishing 2nd in the U20 TTT.
Phoebe Xiao (Year 9) and Issy Riley (Year 11) continued their form from North Islands and Northern Tour with Phoebe finishing 4th in the U14 road race and U14 points race, and Issy coming 2nd in both the U17 road and points race.
The full results (see below) – with every cyclist contributing, gave Dio a 3rd girls school placing overall.
To cap the weekend off, Team Dio was awarded the Team Spirit award!
