Our three key priorities in sport are participation, competition and high performance. Our philosophy is simple: more girls, more active, more fun, more often.
More than 85 per cent of students take part in our sports programme and many of our students not only discover a passion for their chosen sport but also go on to compete at regional, national and international levels.
Students can continue with a familiar sport or try something new—whether at a competitive level or simply for fun and fitness. We also offer annual summer and winter sports exchanges, which help build a love of sport and team spirit.
In Junior High, students can choose from a wide range of sports, including:
Athletics | Badminton | Basketball | Cricket |
Cycling | Volleyball | Equestrian | Fencing |
Football | Golf | Gymnastics | Hockey |
Netball | Orienteering | Skiing | Squash |
Swimming | Taekwon-do | Tennis | Touch |
Triathlon | Water polo | Underwater Hockey | |

We also provide opportunities for coaches and officials to grow their expertise. Sport at Dio is strongly supported by Sports Department, alongside parents and teachers, enabling students to take part in a wide range of sports trips, competitions, and events. We also maintain strong connections with local clubs and regional sporting organisations.
