2025 Sports Awards
We recently celebrated our annual Sports Awards, recognising the incredible sporting achievements of our students throughout 2025.

This year’s Sports Prefect, Kate Beagley, has led with dedication, enthusiasm, and a can-do spirit that has made her a cornerstone of the Sports Department. Kate delivered a beautiful speech during the awards ceremony, proving that nothing is impossible.

Our guest speaker, Chelsea Lane, a trailblazing performance therapist and leader, shared her inspiring journey from heading the performance and medical team at the Golden State Warriors, helping secure back-to-back NBA championships, to her role as Vice President of Performance and Sports Medicine at the Atlanta Hawks. Now based back in Aotearoa, Chelsea continues to empower athletes, organisations, and leaders with her unique blend of scientific insight and compassionate leadership.

We also honoured several special people for their contributions to sport at Dio:
