Boarding whānau travelled from as far north as Northland and as far south as Queenstown, reflecting the strength and reach of the Innes House community. The event offered parents and caregivers the chance to meet Dr Hastie, learn more about the school’s vision for boarding, and connect with fellow families whose daughters call Innes House home.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening came as members of the Innes Trust shared the rich history of Innes House and their own family’s longstanding connections with both Diocesan School for Girls and the Boarding House. Their heartfelt stories highlighted the deep sense of tradition, belonging and community that has shaped generations of boarders and continues to define the Innes House experience today.

It was a meaningful evening that celebrated not only the future of boarding at Dio, but also the remarkable legacy and enduring relationships that make Innes House such a special place.
