Under the leadership of School Culture Prefect Yeshvi Kamdar, deputies Sophie Lockyer and Katrina Hit, and with the invaluable support of staff mentor Ms Anna Dykgraaf, the Council put together an exciting lineup of lunchtime activities. These events encouraged students not only to explore global traditions but also to reflect on their own cultural identities and celebrate them with pride.
Each day featured something fun and unique – from a henna corner and lolly-lei making station, to an energising Zumba session and a powerful Djembe drumming workshop and performance. Alongside the activities, students enjoyed sampling a variety of cultural foods and drinks including samosas, dumplings, pain au chocolat, Māori fried bread, raro, lamb buns, and hot dogs.
