Sina-Maria Su’a (Year 10) recently competed in the Women’s Shot Put at the Team Ledger Harcourts Capital Classic held at Newtown Park Stadium in Wellington.
Competing against athletes aged 18–21, Sina-Maria threw the 4kg Olympic-weight shot put to claim first place with an impressive distance of 14.24 metres.
This performance currently ranks as the fifth-longest throw in New Zealand for 2026, an outstanding achievement early in the season. We look forward to seeing Sina-Maria in action at our upcoming School Athletics Day and throughout the year as she continues to compete.
