Dio Athletes Excel in Wellington
Dio Athletes Compete at Jennian Homes Track and Field Championships in Wellington.

On the weekend of 14 – 17 March, five of our talented athletes represented Auckland at the Jennian Homes Track and Field Championships held in Wellington.

Chloe Luo, Hannah McManus, Indie Williams, Sophia Haines, and Amy Shennan showcased their skills in various events, making us proud with their exceptional performances.

Chloe Luo exhibited her versatility by coming 2nd in the triple jump and 1st in the U20 4x100m relay. Additionally, she displayed her speed in the 100m U20s, finishing a commendable 10th.

Hannah McManus demonstrated her athleticism across multiple disciplines, coming 1st in the Javelin U16,  4th in the 1500m U16, and 800m U16, and her stellar performance in the 300m Hurdle U16 event earned her 1st place.

Indie Williams finished with outstanding results, clinching 1st place in both the 1500m U16, and the 3000m U16 events.

Sophia Haines exhibited her endurance and teamwork, contributing to Auckland’s success with an impressive 2nd place finish in the 4x400m U18 relay. She also ran an impressive 800m U18, finishing 11th.

Amy Shennan proved her determination by securing 9th place in the 400m U18 and 800m U18. Furthermore, she played a pivotal role in the 4x400m U18 relay, earning Auckland a commendable 2nd place.
