During the July school holidays, Dio Gymnasts Grace Wellington, Sarah Kennard, Mikaela Fong, Georgia Pickles (Women’s Artistic), Louella Chabal-T, Qinah Huo (Rhythmic) and Alice Wellington (Trampoline) attended the New Zealand Gymnastics Championships held in Tauranga and garnered outstanding results.

Grace had an excellent competition in her first year as a Senior International athlete, finishing 2nd on Vault and 3rd on Beam. Grace hit the qualification scores for the World Cup and is up for selection to represent New Zealand early next year. Congratulations and best of luck to Grace!

Sarah was one of the youngest gymnasts competing in Step 8, finishing 1st on Floor and 3rd Overall. She helped her Auckland A team finish 1st Overall, which was an incredible achievement!

Louella Chabal-T competed in Level 6 with excellent results across Hoop, Ball and Ribbon. She finished 2nd in Hoop, 3rd in Ball and 3rd Overall.
