At the Auckland Champs Athletics event on Tuesday 26 March, Dio students showcased their athletic prowess. Despite fluctuating weather conditions throughout the day, our athletes delivered commendable performances across various disciplines.
Highlights included Sina-Maria Su’a’s record-breaking wins in Junior Girls Shot Put (13.61m) and Discus (40.96m), Chloe Luo’s second-place finishes in Senior Girls Triple Jump, Long Jump, and 100m, and Amy Shennan’s victory in Senior Girls 800m.
Other notable achievements include Emily Cowan’s placements in Intermediate Long Jump and 200m, Sophia Haines and Zari Lindsay’s performances in Intermediate and Junior Girls 800m and 400m respectively, and the efforts of Isabelle Brunton, Queenie Lang, Anna Yuan, Luisa Haines, Grace Larsen, Grace Dearlove, Indie Williams, and Maddie Worrall in their respective events.
Despite the challenging conditions, our Dio athletes demonstrated resilience, determination, and skill, making the school proud with their outstanding performances.
