Dio had 20 students join nearly 600 young orienteers from around Auckland, in a challenging rogaining competition.
Rogaining is a form of orienteering that requires not only speed and navigation skills, but strategic thinking as well. There is no set course; competitors are given a map marked with various control points and must decide which ones they can reach within a limited timeframe. The event commenced just after torrential rains had stopped, making the conditions particularly tough. Despite these hurdles, the students showcased exceptional resilience and skill.
Congratulations to Ellie Cumberland and Flora Stevens Oskam, who secured third place in the Year 7 and 8 Girls’ Team category.

Congratulations to all our young orienteers for their achievements and for representing Dio with such commendable spirit and determination.
