Lacrosse
The day began with a lacrosse match, where our girls faced a tough competitor. Despite a strong effort, they were defeated with a final score of 6-18.
Hockey
The Hockey turf saw back-to-back games throughout the day. The Year 7 and 8 team dominated from the start, securing a 9-0 victory in an AIMS Games format. The U16A and 1st XI teams faced tougher competition but emerged victorious with scores of 3-0 and 2-1, respectively.
Football
The Football teams had a great day. The Junior A team went to an exciting penalty shoot-out after a 1-1 draw in regular time. Isla Dwight’s impressive saves led to a 4-1 victory for Diocesan. The 1st XI team held on for a narrow 2-1 win.
Netball
The Netball courts were buzzing with activity. The Year 7 and 8 teams started the day with strong wins, 29-1 and 26-14, respectively. The Year 9 and 10 teams continued the winning streak, taking their games 19-11 and 47-21. While the Premier Netball team rounded out the day, narrowly losing to St Peter’s Premier team with a score of 25-26.
Diocesan retains the shield for another year. Congratulations to all the students who competed, and thank you to all the coaches, managers, and supporters.
