On Sunday 26 March, the first of the Secondary Schools' Fencing Competitions, the Northern Secondary Schools' Individual Competition was held at Te Pai Event Centre at Waitakere.
Dio had four fencers registered in the competition; Wendy Xie (9SE), Vanessa Huang (12CW), Joanna Chen (11SE) and Alice Sharpe (13MP).
Wendy and Vanessa competed against each other, and it was a close fight with Wendy finishing up 11th and Joanna 13th overall. Vanessa placed sixth, and our Fencing Code Captain, Alice, came second.
