They competed in the Megacrew division, where the majority of the teams came from private dance studios and train nearly every day of the week. Other schools in this division included Massey High School and Epsom Girls Grammar School. Five crews from each division are able to qualify for the World Championships in Phoenix, Arizona. Our girls placed fifth, which is a huge accomplishment, especially as the majority of the team are Year 10. They should have many more years working and dancing together, so we look forward to more great things to come.

A huge congratulations to their coaches Ashley Medcalfe and Shalom for the choreography. This is the first year we have trialled multiple choreographers for the Megacrew division and we were thrilled with the result. Jaymie Baxter and Alice Bright spoke on behalf of the team after the performance and expressed how thankful they were for the opportunity, thanking their coaches and families for all their support. They mentioned how incredible the opportunity was to perform alongside some of the top crews in New Zealand – and some who may even take out the World Champs.
