Key Focus

  • Mastery of whole number operations up to 1,000,000; advanced fractions, decimals, percentages.
  • Progressing in statistics, geometry, algebraic thinking, and probability.

What It Looks Like

  • Operations with numbers up to 1,000,000 (add, subtract, multiply, divide), place value fluency.
  • Fractions: improper, mixed, equivalents, ordering, operations.
  • Decimals: reading, writing, comparing, operations.
  • Percentages: writing percentages, converting between fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Statistics: planning, investigating, analysing, interpreting graphs and tables (including line graphs).
  • Geometry: types of angles, measuring and drawing angles and lines.
  • Algebra: recognising patterns, describing rules, making predictions.
  • Probability: expressing likelihood, solving probability problems.
