Twenty-five Dio students recently competed in the first annual LitEx competition, which was held in Northcote Intermediate School on the North Shore.
LitEx is a brand new academic competition that tests students basic knowledge of literacy in the same format of Mathex.
This year, Dio had seven teams in the competition with two in the Year 7/8 age group and five in the Year 9/10 age group.
Every team did a fantastic job with strong opposition, however, two teams in the Year 9/10 age group came first and second respectfully.
On top of this amazing result, Maika Bonifant (Year 9) also won a spot prize after winning an individual Heads and Tails game. All in all, it was an incredibly successful day.
