The Diocesan Cycling team had a successful championships event and secured several noteworthy medals.
Junior A Team – Lily James, Maddie Worrall, Indie Williams, and Annabelle Judd won a silver medal in the Team Time Trial. Their solid teamwork and synchronised efforts on the road were evident, earning them a well-deserved second-place finish.
Indie Williams – Silver in the Road Race
Indie’s strong performance demonstrated her skills and determination as she navigated the challenging course and competed against tough opponents.
Maddie Worrall – Silver in the Points Race
Maddie’s outstanding performance in the Points Race showcased her tactical acumen and speed.
Mika James – Bronze in the Road Race
Mika’s tenacity and strong finish demonstrated her competitiveness in a tough field.
The National Secondary Schools Cycling Championships provided a platform for the whole Diocesan Cycling Team to display their growing prominence in junior cycling. The dedication and hard work of these young riders, combined with their remarkable achievements, position them as a formidable presence in future competitions.
