
The scholarships are awarded to the top percentage of students and those in the top 1% achieve an Outstanding scholarship.
Diocesan received scholarships across a complete range of subjects and year levels:
Social Sciences: 15 awards in total. History (10), Economics (4), Geography (1).
Arts: 11 awards in total. Dance (4), Drama (4), Design (1), Music (1), and Printmaking (1).
English: 9 awards in total including 2 Outstanding Scholarships.
Languages: 5 awards in total. Chinese (3), Latin (1), and Japanese (1).
Health/Physical Education: 5 awards in total.
Creative Industries: 3 awards in total. Technology (2), Media Studies (1).
Sciences: 4 awards in total. Biology (2) including 1 Outstanding award. Earth and Space Science (2).
Mathematics: 2 awards in total. Calculus (1), Statistics (1 – an Outstanding Scholarship).
Religious Studies: 2 awards in total.
Students receiving multiple Scholarships
Amongst the above students we acknowledge the five students who received Outstanding Scholarships which are only achieved by the top 1% of scholarship recipients in New Zealand.
These are great results and we are very proud of the girls’ achievements. We are also delighted that the range of scholarships shows the quality of teaching across the subjects on offer at Dio. Along with our excellent IB and NCEA results, we are very proud of our students, staff and our parent community for their support.
