Outstanding Leadership and Team Effort
This success reflects the exceptional leadership of Director of Choirs, Jono Palmer, and Vocal Consultant, Andrea Creighton, who have both done an extraordinary job raising our choirs to this standard. A special thanks also goes to Shona McB, who attended the trip and stepped in to assist with rehearsals when needed.
New Zealand’s Choral Excellence on the World Stage
Choral singing in New Zealand continues to impress internationally. With the NZ Youth Choir winning Choir of the World, and our secondary school choirs ranked among the very best globally, it’s clear that Aotearoa stands tall in the choral world.
The St Cecilia Singers placed in the top three female choirs in the country.
Senior Leaders Rising to the Occasion
Our senior girls have been phenomenal. In particular, Lotosina Tavui and Joia Jackson showed outstanding leadership, guiding a younger and less experienced group of singers. Acting as mentors and guardians, they inspired their peers to perform with confidence and demonstrated a remarkable sense of collective responsibility, both on and off stage.
