Scholarships

Diocesan offers an internal scholarship programme that invests in our current students by recognising high achievers.   Consideration for a scholarship will also be given to a limited number of students who are new to Diocesan. Scholarships at Diocesan have a maximum value of 50% of the tuition fees.  To be eligible applicants must demonstrate they are highly motivated students who are willing to contribute and participate fully in school life while also meeting the scholarship criteria outlined below.

Academic, Sport and Art scholarships are offered from Years 9-12 and will only be made available if there are spaces in these year levels. To be eligible students must meet the criteria in one of the following three areas:

  1. To apply for a Sports Scholarship, the applicant must be an elite athlete who has been selected for a representative team or had success at a regional or national level.
  2. To apply for an Arts scholarship, the applicant must demonstrate an exceptional level of skill and ability in their chosen discipline. In music this will be demonstrated by having attained their Grade 7/8 for piano, Grade 6/7 for strings, Grade 4/5 for wind or brass.
  3. To apply for an Academic Scholarship the applicants must be a top achieving student who demonstrates outstanding academic ability. We would be expecting the applicant to be stanine 9 across the curriculum.
