The Diocesan Cycling Club had a great weekend at the North Island Cycling Championships, held in Karapiro during the school holidays. It was the best results the club has seen in a long time, with great individual and team performances. Year 7 Indie Williams picked up three silvers over the course of the weekend – winning the individual silver road race and criterion and teamed up with Alianna Hay, Lily James and Annabelle Judd for silver in the TTT. Lily added a bronze to her collection in the U-14B category criterium and Lily Shanley and Sophia Hay added bronze medals in the 16B and U-17B categories. Senior A girls Kate Shanley, Arabella Tuck, Georgia Hair, Jess Finnegan and Isobel Fletcher came very close to a medal in fourth place in the team time trial.
