Congratulations to our Years 10-13 students who participated in this year's SGCNZ University of Otago Sheilah Winn National Shakespeare Festival.
These talented students entered four out of the six categories and placed in all of them.
- 1st Place: Amanda Yu for Costume Design
- 1st Place: Scout Challinor for Poster Design
- 2nd Place: Bowie Wang for Poster Design
- 3rd Place: Alice Lott for Poster Design
- 2nd Place: Bonnie Fitzgerald for Static Image
- 3rd Place: Lucy Van Zoggel for Critical Essay
Special recognition goes to our Arts Prefect, Amanda Yu, who after three years as a national finalist for her costume designs, won first place this year.
Her winning design for Cleopatra from “Antony and Cleopatra” will be constructed and displayed at the London Shakespeare’s Globe. Her design (pictured below), inspired by the fantail bird mixed with Māori colour palette, is amazing.
