Arts Prefect – Amanda Yu

I am so excited and honoured to be your Arts Prefect for 2024! The arts have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, whether it be singing, dancing, visual arts, orchestra, choir or musical theatre! I truly love the arts and am so grateful that I can enjoy various hobbies and passions.

Dio has given me so many amazing opportunities to grow as an artist since I started here in Year 2. Some of my personal highlights have been the various choirs, orchestras, dance groups and musical productions that I have been involved in over the years. I’m super stoked for this year’s senior production of Sound of Music, as well as our Arts Week! I’m an avid believer of being a jack-of-all-trades and giving everything a go, and am so excited to lead the Arts this year with such a fabulous team!

Deputy Arts Prefect – Hannah Wellington

Hi! I’m Hannah, and I have the absolute privilege of serving as your Deputy Arts Prefect for 2024. I’m extremely excited about what this year holds and thrilled to be working alongside such an incredible team.

I’ve been immersed in the arts since my very first day at Dio in Year 6, participating in a range of orchestras, bands, and groups since then. I firmly believe there’s something for everyone in the arts, whether it’s music, dance, drama, or visual arts, and these opportunities should be accessible to all. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us, and please feel free to reach out to our team with any questions.

Deputy Arts Prefect – Ella Cochrane 

Hey everyone! I’m Ella Cochrane, your Deputy Arts Prefect for 2024, and I can’t wait to share my passion for the arts with you! From choir and dance, to drama, singing, and playing instruments like trumpet and euphonium – the arts have been my heartbeat since Dio welcomed me in Year 3. Whether rocking lead roles in productions or stepping into the shoes of Elle Woods in senior plays, every moment on stage is pure magic. Joining new groups like Mega Crew and Theatre Jazz keeps my artistic spirit alive.

Arts Week, the senior production, and collaborating with the Culture Council are high on my excitement list. Dio has been my creative playground, offering endless opportunities to express myself. The journey continues, and I’m buzzing with anticipation for the amazing experiences ahead. Let’s make 2024 an unforgettable year together!
