Three Dio students showcased their snowboarding skills at the Auckland College Sport Secondary School Snowboarding Championships held at Snowplanet.
The day kicked off with the Race and Dual events. Ava Mauger (11SE) secured a Bronze medal in the Senior Girls category, and the Diocesan team, consisting of Ava Mauger, Ruby Lowe (13MP), and Issie Clayton (13NE), came away with a Gold medal.
They hit the slopes again for the Slopestyle event, where they each had two runs to impress the judges. Ava Mauger came away with another Bronze medal in the Senior Girls category.
Overall the Diocesan team come second on the day, just two points behind first place.
