Throughout the programme, students are exploring both hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques, developing their creativity while learning the fundamentals of working with clay. From shaping and sculpting to mastering the pottery wheel, each session offers new challenges and the chance to create unique, handcrafted pieces.
The course provides a wonderful opportunity for students to unwind after a busy school day, while building confidence, patience and artistic skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. It has also become a great way for boarders to spend time together, encouraging conversation, collaboration and plenty of laughter along the way.
Enrichment activities such as these are an important part of life at Innes House, giving students the chance to discover new interests, develop lifelong skills and enjoy experiences beyond the classroom.
We look forward to seeing the girls’ finished creations at the end of the five-week course!
