Activities ran throughout the week, beginning with students creating memory boxes and taking part in a video competition, capturing ‘A day in boarding’ and what they love about life at Innes House. A photo competition invited students to capture an image that best represented boarding, while another challenge encouraged them to come up with creative new names for the Innes House villas.

Tuesday brought plenty of fun with a piñata, while Wednesday evening saw the Head Boarders host a special dinner for all boarders. It was a relaxed and entertaining evening filled with delicious food, games and activities, including staff baby photos on Kahoot, questions about the history of Innes House and plenty of boarder trivia.

Later in the week, students took time to write letters home before gathering for a bonfire and s’mores. Friday included lunch with senior management and school deans, followed by a movie night.

Boarders’ Week wrapped up on Sunday 9 August with a roller-skating trip. For some students it was their first time on skates, resulting in plenty of wobbly legs, laughs and encouragement from friends.

Boarders’ Week was a wonderful celebration of the friendships, traditions and everyday moments that make boarding at Dio special.
