The cast delivered a truly outstanding performance, impressing audiences with their maturity, confidence, and professionalism on stage.
Every element of the production, from singing and dancing to costuming, set design, and lighting, was of an exceptionally high standard, rivaling that of pre-professional theatre. At Diocesan, we take great pride in producing work of this calibre, and this production was no exception.
Directed by Ms Andrea Creighton, Chicago is a testament to the dedication and countless hours contributed by both the production team and the cast. Their commitment was evident in every moment on stage. Lead performers, Francesca Eglinton and Emma Lamberton, delivered standout performances, captivating audiences throughout.
This year’s production also achieved a record-breaking ticket sale for a Diocesan musical, reflecting the strength of the performance and direction, the standard of production elements and the incredible support of our community. Guests were welcomed by a vibrant 1920s-themed foyer, which set the tone and created an exciting atmosphere for the evening. Opening night featured a special VIP event, which was also a great success.
Overall, Chicago (Teen Edition) was a remarkable achievement and a celebration of the talent, dedication, and spirit of our school community.
