Racing in the Under-17 Women’s category against some of Australia’s strongest young cyclists, Issy delivered a remarkable performance, winning all four stages of the tour and securing the overall General Classification title.
The tour consisted of four challenging events across two days:
Day 1
A criterium race featuring a sprint finish over 27 minutes plus three laps. Where kangaroos invaded the circuit during the final lap.
A demanding 50km road race through the Stromlo Forest region.
Day 2
A 16km Individual Time Trial.
A challenging 3.6km hill climb to the summit of Mt Stromlo.
After an outstanding weekend of racing, Issy not only claimed the overall tour victory but also won each of the four individual stages in convincing fashion. This marks her first major international tour victory while representing a New Zealand trade team.
These impressive results position Isabella as an emerging talent in road cycling and are sure to attract attention from road race development squads and future representative opportunities.
Congratulations Issy on an exceptional performance and a truly impressive achievement on the international stage.
