Diocesan Athletes play for Auckland Hockey's Under 18 Representatives team.
Diocesan School had four girls selected to play for Auckland teams in the National U18 Girls Hockey tournament held during the July school holidays.
Year 12 students Casey Lam and Anais Hamilton (Auckland White) placed 18th overall with Anais captaining the side.
Diocesan’s Hockey Code Captains, Year 13 students Felicity Bannatyne and Brooke Chandler (Auckland Blue) placed 3rd overall, only narrowly losing in shootouts to Canterbury in the semi-final. They then went on to beat Hawkes Bay 5-1 in the Bronze medal match.
Well done to Felicity, Brooke, Anais and Casey on their Auckland Hockey selection and also to Rochi Gonzalez (Diocesan 1st XI coach) for coaching Auckland Blue to a podium finish!
