Beatrix Sharpe (Year 12), Kate Howse (Year 12) and Flora Oskam Stevens (Year 10) competed in the Auckland schools teams racing regionals last week in the Auckland girls combine team.
They had two very different days of sailing with Wednesday being on the windier side, Thursday being cancelled with too much wind, and Friday being delayed with no wind.
With a variety of wind conditions it tested the girls’ tactics and boat skills in different settings, the team ended up placing top girls school overall and looking good going into nationals in the holidays.
