Director Cherie Moore commented on the incredible commitment of the cast. Despite losing several weeks of rehearsals to major weather events, the cast had taken everything in their stride and came out shining. Cherie says it is quite poetic, given the content of the show.
Students in the show commented that Cherie was a delight to work with and the cast loved her calming influence in times of stress, along with her total professionalism and respect for each and every member of the team. Her dedication made this production the smoothest running ever, despite all the challenges faced. We were also fortunate to have Lachlan Craig as Musical Director and Verity Burgess who led the dance troops and choreography.
Congratulations to the cast, backstage crew, and lighting specialists who supported the production. We especially thank Dilworth School for their cooperation with Shay Karaka, Aporo Haurua, Malachi Freeman, and Elijah Pumipi-Chapman excelling in their roles.
The amazing Ella Cochrane starred as Elle Woods, with each performance supported by the brilliant Elizabeth Peters as Paulette. As the show’s plot unfolded, we were impressed with the additional outstanding talents of Amanda Yu as Brooke, and Pascale Vincent as the sophisticated Vivienne. Congratulations to everyone involved in a joyous show filled with energy and fun.
