From Thursday 30 July to Sunday 2 August, 12 Dio swimmers competed at the New Zealand Secondary School Swimming Championships, held at the Sir Owen G. Glenn National Aquatic Centre in Auckland.
More than 800 athletes from across the country took part in the four-day event, with Dio swimmers delivering an outstanding performance. The team recorded numerous personal best times and achieved several top-10 finishes across both individual and relay events.
A special congratulations to Catherine Li (Year 9), who achieved the following results in the Girls 14 Years age group:
- 1st – 200m Breaststroke
- 2nd – 100m Breaststroke
- 2nd – 50m Breaststroke
Congratulations also to Anna Li (Year 9), who achieved the following results in the Girls 13 Years age group:
- 1st – 50m Butterfly
- 3rd – 100m Butterfly
Congratulations to all of the Dio swimmers who represented the school at this year’s championships. Their dedication, commitment and performances were a credit to themselves and the school.
