Dio dancers Keira Caird and Samiya Liu achieved outstanding results at the Dance NZ Made Interschool Nationals in Palmerston North, with both students securing national titles in their respective solo categories.
Having qualified for Nationals following their performances at the Auckland Regional competition earlier this year, both dancers took to the national stage with confidence and skill.
Their results were:
-
Keira Caird: 1st Place, Year 7 Solos – New Zealand
-
Samiya Liu: 1st Place, Year 8 Solos – New Zealand and 4th Place, Overall Solos – New Zealand
Samiya’s fourth-place finish in the Overall Solos category was particularly impressive, competing against dancers from Years 7 to 13 from across New Zealand.
Congratulations to Keira and Samiya on these wonderful achievements. Their results reflect their dedication, talent and hard work, and we are delighted to celebrate their success on the national stage.
