With more than 800 athletes from across the country, the event brought together New Zealand’s top secondary school runners in one of the nation’s premier schools cross country competitions.
The championships were held over two days, with the school championship races on Saturday followed by the inter-provincial relay on Sunday. Several Dio students were selected to represent Auckland in the relay event, highlighting the strength of the school’s cross country programme.
Despite challenging weather conditions, Dio athletes demonstrated exceptional determination, resilience and sportsmanship, delivering outstanding performances across all age groups. Their efforts resulted in an impressive collection of team and individual placings.
