Q. What art disciplines are you currently involved in?
A. I am mainly involved in visual arts, especially painting and drawing. This year, I have also started exploring performing arts, including choir and being part of the senior musical, Chicago. It has been exciting to step outside my comfort zone and try something different from what I usually focus on.

Q. When and how did you find yourself involved in the arts?
A. I have loved drawing since I was little and have always been a creative person. Over the years, my parents have been very supportive, which encouraged me to keep improving and taking art more seriously. Their support made a big difference in helping me continue pursuing something I genuinely enjoy.

Q. What is your main motivation for your art?
A. I really enjoy painting portraits and capturing people. I think portraits can show personality and emotion in a way that feels very personal. Sometimes, they can express something that a photo cannot fully capture. I find that process really meaningful.

Q. What is some advice you would give someone considering joining any arts groups?
A. I would say to just give it a go and try your best. When I auditioned for Chicago, it was my first audition, and I was very nervous. Afterwards, I realised there was nothing to be scared of. Now that I am in my second-to-last year at Dio, I am trying to take every opportunity I can, especially the ones I might not get again once I leave. You never know what you are capable of unless you put yourself out there, and even if it feels scary at first, it is always worth trying!
