On the 17th of June 2026, it was announced that Bowie Wang (Year 12) has been selected to represent New Zealand in the Women's Individual Foil event at the Youth Olympic Games, to be held in Dakar, Senegal, later this year.
Bowie’s selection places her among a small group of New Zealand athletes chosen to compete on the world stage and is a testament to her dedication, talent, and hard work. Representing New Zealand at the Youth Olympic Games is an outstanding achievement and a wonderful opportunity to showcase her skills on the international stage while proudly representing both her country and the Diocesan School for Girls.
