After lots of community feedback and careful thought, it’s now time for a change. We will phase this change to our uniform over two years to give our community ample time to prepare.

Here is a quick summary of what you need to know.

Why are we making this change? 

Our school uniform for the Junior High School has not changed in over 20 years yet the needs of our students have changed over this time.

• The community survey amongst parents highlighted a desire for a uniform refresh to better suit the needs of current students.
• Rather than dresses or tunics, it is easier for students to have separate pieces (i.e. skirts and blouses) especially when students need to change during the day for sporting or other activities.
• Moving to the new design better caters for students in the Junior High School as they transition from young girls into young women.
• This new design also more closely aligns with the Senior High School uniform making a more consistent look within our High School.
• Students will no longer require both a ‘summer’ and ‘winter’ uniform so this change should be a more cost-effective option for families.

What are the new uniform items being launched?

• Navy skirt
• White Summer blouse
• White Winter blouse (optional)
• Navy cardigan

 What are the uniform elements we will be phasing out?

• Navy Summer dress
• Navy Winter tunic
• Blue blouse
• Dio School Tie
• Winter jumper

 Who will be impacted?

• Junior high school students (those in Year 7-10) from 2025.

 When do students need to start wearing the new uniform?

• The new school uniform will be phased in over two years.
• Students can wear the current uniform or new uniform during 2025 and 2026.
• We expect all students to be wearing the new uniform by the start of 2027.

Can I mix-and-match my old and new uniform?

• No. You can either be in full current or full new uniform.

What is not changing?

• Our much-loved Trelise Cooper blazer will be retained as part of the Junior High School uniform.
• All other elements of the Junior High School uniform (such as white socks for summer, black tights for winter, and shoes) will not be changing.
• There are also no changes to PE or sport uniforms

When will the new uniform be available?

• The new uniform is now available from our school shop (and online).
