During the July school holidays, Miranda Fu (Year 4) delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 North Island Junior Squash Championships in Hawke’s Bay, claiming her first U11 Girls national title.
The result followed another impressive performance at the Auckland Junior Age Group Championships, where Miranda won the U11 Girls title and finished runner-up in the U13 Girls competition.
At just nine years old, Miranda is currently ranked No. 1 in New Zealand in the U11 Girls age group and No. 10 in U13 Girls. She has also begun competing in senior tournaments and currently holds a New Zealand D2 grading.
