Dio Golf Day 2026
On 21 May, 78 golfers took to the course at Royal Auckland & Grange Golf Club for the Dio Golf Day 2026, enjoying a day of competition, connection and community.

Golf Day has a long history within the Dio community. What began as a friendly fixture between Diocesan Auckland and Waikato Old Girls has evolved over the years into a broader community event. This year, we were pleased to further expand the field and welcomed members of our parent community alongside alumnae and supporters.

Players competed in a range of Stableford competitions, including the Bryan Bartley Cup for the leading Dio alumna golfer, the Eady Cup for the top men’s Stableford score, and individual women’s honours. Team competition was equally competitive, with the best two Stableford scores on each hole contributing to the overall team result.

One of the highlights of the day was the Winger Motors Hole-in-One Challenge on Middlemore 8, where golfers had the chance to win a Suzuki Jimny. While the prize remained unclaimed, it certainly added an extra level of excitement to the day.

We are grateful to our sponsors, Craigs Investment Partners, Winger Motors and Bayleys, whose support helped make the event possible, and to the team at Royal Auckland & Grange Golf Club for hosting us so well.

More than the golf itself, the day provided an opportunity for alumnae, parents and friends of the school to come together, strengthen existing connections and build new ones. It was wonderful to see so many members of the Dio community enjoying the occasion, and we look forward to continuing to grow the event in the years ahead.
