Playing in a tournament made up predominantly of 1st XI teams, Dio finished an impressive fifth overall, with wins over Massey High School (18–0), KingsWay School (5–0), Botany Downs Secondary College (5–1) and Strathallan (3–0), alongside a hard-fought 1–0 loss to Mt Roskill Grammar School.
Across the tournament, the team scored an incredible 31 goals and conceded just two, making Dio the highest-scoring team of the competition.
The players showed huge improvement, teamwork and confidence throughout the week, led brilliantly by Year 13 captains Francesca Eglinton and Sophie Pearce.
The week wasn’t all about competition, with yoga, cold plunges and study sessions providing plenty of opportunities for team bonding between games.
A special thank you to Manager Janie Loveridge and Coaches Kieren Roe and Lucy Bannatyne for their hard work, commitment and support throughout the season and tournament week.
Congratulations to the entire team on a fantastic week and an outstanding result!
